Hello friends!
Today I'm taking you to fairy land in a secret garden. My sweet daughter turned five years old last week and celebrated her birthday with her little fairy friends in a sweet, delicate and whimsical setting. When I started brainstorm the theme of this party ideas were bouncing off the walls. I imagine a beautiful garden with some vintage decor along with whimsy would be fantastic. I first roll out all the possibilities and check marked my ideas that I'm certain I can make a reality. The most challenging one of them all is the idea of sitting the cake on a swing. I thought it would be a perfect idea and would be the focal point of the dessert table. My girl loves to be on the swing at the park so she immediately jumped for joy when I told her I will make her cake sit on a swing. I can hardly believe how time flies by and my beautiful baby girl can express her likes and dislikes and she secretly shared her favorite things she would like to see at her party from her fairy story book. I love the fact that she's very girly and believes in all things magical, i hope that never changes. Her favorite color is pink which seems pretty normal for a toddler girl and most girls even me; therefore pink is in for sure. We had used many pretty colors along with pink in the past so we choose a pastel shade of yellow to pair with hues of light and bright pinks for a pop of color and a cool ombre effects. These colors are so pretty, warm and welcoming for little fairies. Now that the colors and ideas were in place it was easy to sprinkle pixie dusts of gold and pink glitters to bring the vision to life.
To make a whimsical statement this is what I did. I placed the little ones table in the center of a topless canopy drape with white sheer curtains along with a chic white chandelier hanging above the center of the table. I couldn't have thought of a better idea and I'm so thrilled to show you guys the kids table covered with yellow chiffon table cloth and kiddie size chiavari chairs with a fairy wing on each chair. Isn't this so precious and gorgeous?!
Do you think I was kidding when i mentioned earlier that the cake sat on a swing? Here's the proof this immaculate pink and yellow cake with a fairy topper sat proudly on it. Lets talk about the details on this cake! I said at the beginning of this post the theme is fairy in a secret garden and there you have it, a key, keyhole, dragon flies, roses and a fairy on top. Are you convinced yet? Seriously this is one of the best cake my baker made for me.
Place setting is everything for me especially the little drink bottles. I love these pink vintage plates with beautiful detailing around the edges which screamed garden for sure. They came in three sizes and are just stunning. I got this pretty pink paper with scallops edging and used as a place mat for the setting and I added soft satin pink napkin along with yellow cutlery. The drink bottles were dipped in pink glitters and sheer yellow ribbon around the neck and a pretty flowers. We know that paper straw is trending for all events so I added a yellow straw with a gold silhouette fairy. This setting wasn't complete without a place card with each fairy name.
I can't get over how stunning these cookies from Custom cookies By Jill are. Cookies to match the theme of your event is always trending and many times you hear they are too pretty to eat.

Pretty lemon flavor cupcakes with yellow frosting sprinkle with pink pearl and wrap with gold glitter are so cute on these cake plates from Target.
These cake pops by Cupcakes By Kelly are simply gorgeous. Gosh they are twirling on a wreath of roses in the secret garden.
Loving this gold glitter name banner that spread across our floral back drop on the dessert table.
Each Fairy got invited in a special way. The invitation placed in clear envelope embellish with yellow flowers and a gold glitter key.
We served pink lemonade at our party and we made sure there's a floral backdrop on our lemonade bar too because we are in the garden.
Custom water bottle labels are always a must for any event. It's a great way to display the theme of the party by including the birthday girl name and age. It's also a fantastic party favor.

Balloon garlands are very popular and I made this garland with balloons from Oriental Trading and added faux florals from Dollar tree.
I decided to be creative and make the number 5 which displays her age a one of a kind, so I layered a pink and yellow balloon garland on top of real flowers already in my garden and tucked faux floral for a more cluster look, same as above and added butterfly wings, mushrooms, rabbits and a giant 5 sat in the center of the balloon flower bed as I called it. I feel that all these little details are necessary since we are in a garden setting. It turned out pretty and everyone was impressed.
So proud of this setup of garden props for this party. It is peerless and is still on of my favorite party of the party. Lets start with the chairs, OMG i went to three thrift stores before I found them. They desperately needed a makeover and I did just that as you can see they look like they are made for this secret garden awaiting little fairies to come play.
I sent each fairy home with a cute gable box from Oriental Trading that i decorated with ribbons and a tag along with some fairy dust.
Thank you fairy much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy this post and all the photos!
