Hello Twinklerinas,
A lot of people love this centerpiece and I would like to share with you how I came up with this pretty tasty teacup centerpiece. Some of you may already know that I styled a tea party "Breakfast at Tiffany's Style" for my daughter's 3rd Birthday. Here is the link to go see her Tea Party Breakfast At Tiffany's Style in case you missed it. I absolutely love styling party and i take into consideration anything I can find around my house, thrift stores etc when I'm designing a centerpiece. You would be surprise what you can find by looking around your house or thrift shopping. I must say this time I found the items for this centerpiece at common stores in your area.
I knew the centerpiece for this party has to showcase the theme of this party in a perfectly define way by screaming tea party "Breakfast at Tiffany's Style". A tea cup is the base of this centerpiece and yes I used a planter teacup :-). I found this teacup at Ross. The kissing Ball is Ivory and I found her at Home Goods. I wanted some pink in the ball so i added some pink rose in it just for fun and a pop of color. The pearl and the papers used for the teabag is from Michael's. The teabag is a DIY. I thought it's really cute to put GEELA & Co. Est. 2012 on it since that's her name and birth year. The Tiffany's Box inside the tea cup was totally hand painted by me and there's a separate post on how to make it here DIY Tiffany's Box . There you have it, a centerpiece that screamed tea party, Breakfast at Tiffany's, her name and age. I'm totally smitten.....
Pretty Twinkling!
