Fall in Updated Living Room

Hello Friends,

Fall is here and will pass by soon.  I won't let this happen before I share a few upgrades in my living room. This is one of those updates you call small change and big impact.  I am in love with textured walls and ever since I did my dining room, I knew I had to do the same with my living room.  This was a must due to the open concept style between the dining and living room.  It was fun to design and I got many inspiration from Pinterest when it comes to adding trims surrounding a fireplace.  I really wanted to share sneak peek on Instagram stories but I decided to wait and share it here first.  So,  we added trims on the wall  to create a beautiful new look, new brass sconces above the mantel and a new fire place is coming soon.  Did you spy my new ivory drapes?  I absolutely love these drapes at my huge, triple window.  There are so many wonderful things I can say about these drapes, soft, luster, elegant and high quality.  I love the option of rod pockets or back tabs.  These drapes are definitely a statement piece and will be adorn in my home for a long time.  I have a giveaway coming up this week, two lucky people will win1 set of 2 panels total, color and size of your choice, be sure to enter here.

My fall decor is slightly different in this space.  I added coffee and ivory colored velvet pillows in addition to velvet pumpkins in cream and champagne colors.  The floral arrangement on the coffee table is very simple yet fitting for the season.  These are actually Cherry Blossoms I spray painted last fall with a gold paint.  I've also painted the walls in this room in the spring a creamy color, Swiss Coffee from Benjamin Moore.  I love how it warms up this space.  If you remember it was a cool color before, a very light gray.  I'm loving the new look! My family and I will enjoy the holidays and beyond in our new space and are very excited for all the laughter and memories we will create here.

My home is a work in progress and I understand now that not everything can get done at once because we are not rich, but with time, little by little, you can get things done.  Like I said earlier small change and big impact.  Enjoy the new look and my fall decor.

I source most of decor and details for you in case you're inspired and would like to create the look.

Thank you for your support and I will see you back here soon.
